Evaluating & Selecting Your Confined Space Rescue Services

Pat Furr, Safety Officer, Roco Rescue, Inc.

Expo A3

Non-entry confined space rescue isn't always feasible.  For those times when entry rescue is the only option, it is important to know your selected rescue service will be up to the task. For the three primary means to prepare for entry rescue (in-house rescue team, Calling 911, or a third party contracted rescue service) there are common criteria for all of them.   There are also advantages and disadvantages to all three options.  What may be a good fit for one, may not be the best option for others.  This presentation will highlight the pros and cons of each option and look in detail at criteria to help you decide which is best for your facility.
