It is generally accepted that maintenance turnarounds are the costliest projects in most industrial organizations. The opportunities for improvement in safety and productivity are many, but so are the risks. These risks are both financial and related to safety of personnel. This presentation will outline a technology deployment for a large turnaround at a major chemical facility and how both safety and productivity were improved exponentially through the application of the right technology and corresponding changes in process. This will be a presentation from an ESSH Manager in conjunction with one of the technology partners on the project.
