Operation Clean Sweep is an international program designed to prevent resin pellet, flake and powder losses to the environment. The focus of OCS is on resin manufacture, transportation and conversion into plastic products and the aspirational goal is to have Zero Losses to the environment. Each segment of the industry has a role to play. Those companies wanted to demonstrate additional commitment to the initiative can participate in OCS Blue. This advanced program includes additional requirements, including mandatory metric report and the opportunity to participate in a voluntary Verification of OCS / OCSb Management Practices. This session will provide an overview of the Verification Program, along with examples of pilot verification activities and likely future direction.
