Maintaining Your PSM Culture in the Midst of Change
Nelson Rodriguez-Garcia, Plant Manager, Kuraray
PSM has been, is and will continue to be one of the most important items we work on in our industry. As the global economy continues to evolve and manufacturing headwinds force companies to rationalize certain parts of their portfolio; we will continue to see mergers and acquisitions. In-spite of the excitement and stresses that these changes bring, PSM must remain a priority. This presentation will provide some recommended strategies, activities and lessons learned during the transition to a new owner company. The case discussed describe recommended do’s and don’ts in a specific instance where an organization was moving from a large and traditionally established company with prescribe systems and processes to a smaller more open and non-prescribed company that allowed each Plant certain level of independence to create their own systems. During this presentation you will have the opportunity to share your own experiences with such transitions and also ask questions to support you. This presentation is ideal for Site/Corporate PSM leaders, Managers and PSM Element Champions.
