ABOUT MEG
Meg Reese is a Senior Process Safety Management (PSM) Engineer at Occidental Chemical (OxyChem) in Ingleside, Texas. With a career spanning over two decades in the chemical industry, Meg has held various roles including plant process engineering, project management, production engineering, and technical leadership. Since 2016, Meg has been leading and managing the process safety programs at the Ingleside site and mentoring early career engineers to achieve process safety excellence.

Meg was certified as a CCPS certified process safety professional in 2017.  She was a contributing member of the CCPS team that developed the texts “Human Performance for Process Safety Professionals” and “Guidelines for Investigating Chemical Process Incidents”.  Recently, she authored two Book of Beacons write ups as a member of the Book of Beacons Committee.  She is a member of the New Ideas Committee of the AIChE Process Safety Division.

Meg graduated from the University of Mississippi with a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering and from Texas A&M, College Station with a Master of Business Administration. She is also an active Rotarian, serving as Assistant Governor for Area 3 of District 5930, and has been a member of the Club of Aransas Pass Texas since 2019.

She and her husband Ron enjoy travelling and watching Astros baseball.
