This presentation outlines a methodology designed to assist PHA teams in arriving at consistent estimates of scenario severity. PHA teams often struggle to discern the severity of a scenario using traditional risk matrix approaches. This approach employs a straightforward logical method, rather than a complex air dispersion or QRA type approach. It includes scenarios involving vessel overpressure, pump failures, and compressor seal failures.
