Fitness for Duty and Human Error: Breaking the Link
Expo A1
Speakers: Norman Ritchie, Director, vPSI Group
There is a strong causal relationship between fitness for duty problems and an increased likelihood of human error in the workplace leading to unplanned events such as injuries, property damage, and rework. This presentation will explore the link between such issues as fatigue, distraction, and the human errors that may lead to incidents. It will also provide techniques for the front line task team to self-assess their fitness for duty and resulting susceptibility to unplanned events, and manage the related exposure.
