ABOUT LORIS
Loris is a respected leader in the chemical industry and a champion of inclusive, people‑powered leadership. She currently serves as the Chairwoman of the TCC Board of Directors, making history as both the first woman and the first Hispanic leader to hold this influential role.
With more than 30 years of engineering, operations, and leadership experience, Loris is the U.S. Gulf Coast Industrial Director for Braskem America, where she continues to shape operational excellence and drive transformational progress. Throughout her career, she has held several leadership positions including Director of Improvements and Quality, Plant Manager of the Oyster Creek site, Operations Superintendent, and Process Engineering Leader—each reinforcing her reputation as a strategic, people‑centered leader committed to delivering results.
At the heart of Loris’s leadership philosophy is a deep belief in the power of people and possibility. She is passionate about cultivating workplaces where individuals feel supported, valued, and empowered to grow. A strong advocate for women and underrepresented groups in STEM, she dedicates her voice and influence on inspiring others to pursue, persist, and advance in technical fields.
Beyond her organizational impact, she is committed to elevating understanding of the essential role the chemical industry plays in innovation, safety, sustainability, and improving everyday life. Her leadership reflects a steadfast commitment to excellence, a drive to create meaningful change, and an unwavering belief in the potential of every person to lead and make a difference.
Loris holds a master’s degree in chemical engineering from McNeese State University.
