Right-Sizing Your Industrial Hygiene Program

In a shrinking economy it is increasingly important for industrial hygiene programs to be focused on the right priorities. This presentation will help answer questions such as: "What is the value of an IH program? What programs do I really need? What is a workplace exposure assessment and how is it valuable to my site? How do I integrate IH in the safety management system? Should I outsource or develop internal resources? How do I evaluate external resources?" In addition, a practical approach to completing qualitative workplace exposure assessments and developing priorities for sampling at your site will be discussed.

Eat This, Not That!

Sr. Safety Communications/Training Coordinator
Do you really want zero injuries at your site? Are you really doing all you can to ensure NOBODY GETS HURT? If so, your safety strategies should include initiatives to ensure the physical health and well being of your employees. Does it? Personal medical conditions such as diabetes and obesity are serious health issues, but they are also serious safety issues. Unfortunately, they are also personal, sensitive issues that no one wants to talk about. But this presentation will give you a platform to bring these issues forward in your organization in a fun and educational way. Laughter is a good teaching tool, so come learn and laugh along the way, then take the message back to your organization!
