This presentation will take attendees through basic definitions and understandings needed in order to properly design a confined space ventilation system. It will then cover common issues or mistakes with designs, and discuss how many air changes are needed for inspection activities; the air movement needed for active welding/refractory work and local exhaust ventilation; and, how to perform a field audit of a designed system to ensure its adequacy. Finally as a class activity, the course will go through two examples.
