In Part 3 we will study Leadership. What is it? How is it different than Management? How does Empowerment and Perception affect our ability to Lead? We will explore why effective Safety Leaders may not even have a fancy title. They understand it is a comprehensive mindset blending the safety professional’s SME role with the “soft skills” needed to achieve the strategic goals of the organization or business unit where they are working. The “Safety Leader” is not limited to supporting the strategic goals after they have been set; They are invited to participate in establishing the strategic goals from the start.
