Tom Grumbles, Sasol’s Responsible Care® Coordinator for the program’s first 20 years and chair of the ACC Responsible Care® team, will review the history of Responsible Care®, from chemical industry response to catastrophic releases at Bhopal and elsewhere, to its present model for continual improvement. Tom will emphasize lessons learned by the chemical industry and by Sasol in particular. He will also discuss code development, implementation verification efforts, metrics development, and struggles, plus some reflections on RC’s future.
