In the dictionary, the term “accountability” means “to be responsible to somebody or for something,” but during his time as a VPP coordinator and Senior Safety Specialist at Valero Refining and as a Vice president of Safety for Evergreen Environmental, Bill Shaw re-defined the word. Accountability is a personal choice to rise above one’s circumstances and demonstrate the ownership necessary for achieving desired results. In this presentation, Bill will explore the steps to personal accountability – to see it, to solve it, and to do it – and will inspire the audience to move from the victim mentality to taking responsibility and ownership of their lives.
