Interim Risk Reduction Measures for Facility Siting

Facility Siting is a required component of OSHA PSM and includes analysis to identify potential hazards/risks to occupied plant buildings from explosions, fires, and toxic releases. API PR-752 (Dec 2009) states, once hazards/risks have been assessed that: "Owners/operators shall develop and implement a mitigation plan and an associated schedule to address all existing buildings requiring mitigation."
This presentation is specific to the part of the plan to implement Interim Measures to reduce risk to building occupants. The presentation will describe when interim mitigation measures should be considered; what options are available and how they address the hazards; what is the relative effectiveness of different interim mitigation measures; and how to weave interim measures into your overall mitigation/remediation plan.
