The core value of process safety is simply stated, Keep the process in the pipes. Some of the greatest opportunities for process safety improvement lie within where actual maintenance work exists. Working from the views of both a major oil company and a contractor company safety position, it is clear that greater understanding is needed at the field level. This session will speak to the causes of many process events in relation to contractor work and what has been initiated to improve the overall process safety performance in the field.
