Infrastructure Protection: What’s In It For You?

Speakers: Mike Dailey, Region VI Outreach Programs Branch Chief, DHS Office of Infrastructure Protection; Harvey Perriott, Chief, Protective Security, DHS Office of Infrastructure Protection; Steven Shedd, Chief, Regulatory Compliance, DHS Office of Infrastructure Protection

The Department of Homeland Security, Office of Infrastructure Protection will address the attendees on topics and content focusing on resiliency efforts, preparedness and securing our nation’s infrastructure. The session will be delivered by Mr. Mike Dailey, Region VI Outreach Programs Branch Chief, Mr. Harvey Perriott, Region VI Chief Protective Security, and Mr. Steve Shedd, Chief Regulatory Compliance.

Mr. Dailey will present on the Regional Service Delivery Model, a recent maturation effort of the National Protection Programs Directorate in reshaping the “way we do business”. This segment will highlight the resources and support services available from the regional/ground truth level and how the integration of the services directly benefits our critical infrastructure partners.

Mr. Perriott will present on the various tools and resources directly available to all stakeholders, the role of the Protective Security Advisor, and programs available to our partners such as Hometown Security, Cyber Security resources, Active Shooter training and education programs.

Mr. Shedd will address the group with a short recap of the Chemical Facilities Anti-Terrorism Standards (CFATS) Program re-tering efforts and how those efforts have affected the chemical industry. Mr. Shedd will also brief the group on a new initiative, Project Panther. This initiative focuses on sharing IP Voluntary program capabilities, resources and programs with CFATS facilities.
