Industrial hygiene professional and technical consulting services are provided to address indoor air quality (IAQ) assessments in workplaces along the Texas Gulf Coast as well as incident response services. Basic industrial hygiene principles involving recognition, evaluation, and control are addressed for proper site IAQ investigations for general and/or specific chemical substances, particulates, and use of direct-reading instruments for an outlined project sampling strategy related to representative sample collection in addition to microbial agents (i.e. culturable versus non-culturable methods) with laboratory analysis including subsequent data interpretation provided by a Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH). Assessment results are summarized and report documents prepared to record existing potential occupational exposures with recommendations provided to assist with resolution and/or additional areas of investigation potentially involving microbial remediation and testing. Construction considerations, mold prevention, and mitigation strategies are additionally discussed.
