We all know that a strong safety culture is key in keeping employees safe and regulators away. When safety incidents due to a lack of training and employee lack of focus on safety, increase, scrutiny and management, as well as regulators oversight, is inevitable. This session will dive into the positive effects of environmental staff truly partnering with safety.
Environmental practitioners are very familiar with the damaging outcomes NODs, NOEs and other warnings can have to timelines and business efficiencies. Often we don’t think about a safety incident and its effects-it may not be limited to your work life but effect you after work as well. Even at that, safety still often takes second place. We will explore how we can keep safety in the forefront and “in the moment “ during all activity in the workplace, even when regulatory drivers are causing maximum stress.
