Audits conducted by Cemtek KVB-Enertec at Refineries & Chemical plants and other industries have taught us that the complexity of CEMS monitoring for compliance is often underestimated. We have uncovered Minor & Serious issues with CEMS including original engineering & design issues, start-up, certification errors, ongoing maintenance, compliance and reporting mistakes that can potentially cause a facility to be out of compliance with permit conditions. Data Acquisition configuration shortcomings or software problems that potentially expose sites with reporting errors. We present real world experience from our audits in an effort to help attendees be aware of potential issues at their facilities and answer questions they may have.
